Initial Submission (closed)

IEEE/ASME MESA2024 submission and review of papers will be managed through the EasyChair service. Please carefully follow the instructions below:

Authors should prepare an Extended Abstract (at least 4 pages).

Authors with Accepted Abstracts must submit a Final Paper with a minimum length of six (6) pages and a maximum of eight (8) pages.

Authors should prepare a full paper with a minimum length of six (6) pages and a maximum of eight (8) pages.

Paper Review (closed)

Submitted papers will be evaluated by at least two (2) peer reviewers, who judge the paper according to the following criteria:

  • Relevance to the conference topics;
  • Quality of presentation;
  • Significance of treated topic;
  • Novelty of the given contribution.

At the end of the review process, authors receive notification of acceptance or rejection of the paper.    

Preparation and Submission of Final Papers (closed)

After the review process, authors who receive a notification of acceptance are encouraged to update their camera-ready papers by incorporating the reviewers’ suggestions.

IMPORTANT: CHANGING THE TITLE AND AUTHORS IS NO LONGER PERMITTED AT THIS STAGE.

Please note that each paper must be a minimum of six (6) pages and a maximum of eight (8) pages in length.

Refer to the templates provided by IEEE (refer to the Templates section above). Ensure that each paper adheres to the IEEE publication standards. Proofread your source document thoroughly before creating the final PDF.

IMPORTANT: REMOVE THE FOOTER FROM THE TEMPLATE (see figure below).

PDF eXpress Service

Since the Conference Proceedings are going to be published in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library, the file containing the final version of the paper must be converted to PDF format using the IEEE PDF eXpress web tool, or if the PDF file has been generated by another software, it must be checked by the IEEE PDF eXpress web tool. PDF files not either generated by or approved by IEEE PDF eXpress are not eligible.

To generate the IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF file of your paper, follow these steps:

  • Log in or create your IEEE PDF eXpress account by going to: https://ieee-pdf-express.org/ . Use 61532X for the Conference ID, your email address and your password. An Online confirmation will be displayed for first-time users and an email confirmation will be sent verifying the account setup.
  • The first time you access the system, please follow the link to new user. Please note that in order to access the service, you need to allow the use of cookies from the PDF eXpress web site. Once you have registered as a new user:
    • upload the source file (containing your paper) for conversion
    • receive by e-mail the IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF of your paper. Once you’ve received your PDF file, upload it to the conference website.

Access the Publications Support Center for IEEE PDF eXpress.

  • If you do not find an answer in the Answers (FAQ) tab, go to the Submit a Question tab.
  • Your question will be forwarded to IEEE PDF Support and answered within 3 business days.

As required by IEEE, all accepted papers will be scanned for possible plagiarism using CrossCheck, prior to publication in the proceedings. The conference committee will take responsibility for checking the plagiarism conditions of the papers submitted to the conference using the IEEE CrossCheck tool. Please be reminded that the maximum allowed similarity index is 30%.

Presentation Guidelines

Presentations should be 20 minutes long, divided into 15 minutes for the talk and 5 minutes for Q&A and speaker transition. There is no required template for the presentation, so you are free to design it as you see fit. Please note that presenting at the conference is a prerequisite for your work to be included in the conference proceedings.
